IWC's "Lake Tahoe" take on the Pilot's Watch Chronograph "Top Gun" Edition, Jefferson's new "Ocean Aged" rye and Engineered Garments' latest collab with Vans make the round up today.

When it comes to brand dominence, it's clear no label can top the value of Nike. The Swoosh, according to Brand Finance's annual brand review, grew 9 percent to $33.2 billion and cementing it in the number one spot for the eighth year running. Other notable moves include Louis Vuitton's ascension to rank number two, beating out Gucci (which fell to number three), growing by $23.4 billion. For more details on who cracked the top 10 and how certain brands rose and fell, head over to The Fashion Law. Fashion brand performance aside, IWC's "Lake Tahoe" take on the Pilot's Watch Chronograph "Top Gun" Edition, Jefferson's new "Ocean Aged" rye and Engineered Garments' latest collab with Vans make the round up today. As always, this is Today in Gear.

IWC's "Top Gun" editions of its Pilot's Watch serve not just as a showcase of IWC's performance watch technology, but also as nod to a longstanding legacy of aviation. This "Lake Tahoe" colorway of the IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph "Top Gun" Edition incorporates dazzling white as both a nod to the U.S. Navy's "Service Dress Uniform" as well as the snowy white scenery surrounding the Sierra Nevada mountains.

If you've never had Jefferson's "Ocean Aged at Sea" whiskey, it's a fairly interesting concept. When the brand says "aged at sea," they're not joking; keeping the whiskey in barrels while riding the waves, the temperature changes and constant slosh of sailing allows the whiskey to flow in and out of the wooden barrels in a way that creates a unique aging expression. This is the series' first-ever rye whiskey spending time traveling to various ports around the world. Expect to find a full rye flavor with spicy sweetness on the finish.

Engineered Garments is one the greatest brands in American fashion, serving as a much-loved (but sadly, rarely talked about, outside of "if you know, you know" circles) menswear label. As one of Engineered Garments' most consistent collaborations, its work with Vans has resulted in some cult favorite takes on equally iconic sneakers. This chapter sees the two brands work together on a multi-material Vans Era, incorporating leather, suede, and canvas. The shoes come in four different colorways, and are available at Nepenthes locations now (with more stores stocking the models on April 16).

The versatility of pellet grills is embodied in Traeger's new Timberline series, which incorporates a full-color touchscreen display to make both temperature control while cooking and post-meal maintenance more intuitive than ever. On top of details like Traeger's proprietary Downdraft Exhaust and Super Smoke mode for easy food smoking, the Timberline also comes with an induction cooktop, meaning you can effectively prepare an entire meal grillside (as opposed to trying to cook both in and outdoors while running the grill).

The next evolution of the Racetrap sunglasses from motocross brand 100% are here, incorporating a hydrophobic and oleophobic (basically water and dirt-repellent) crack-resistant Ultra HD lens. While this 3.0 edition is designed for a more secure, lightweight and snug fit, these shades are also built with six base spherical lenses for a broad field-of-vision. For those looking for a high contrast view, the frames can come with HiPER multilayer mirrored lens.
