A woman went into her husband's childhood room and discovered a crazy yet sentimental heirloom.

Several families have different traditions that go on for generations. While some of these are culturally common, some are extremely unique to a family. Claire Linkhart from Ohio had no words to describe what she felt when she stumbled across one such unique tradition when she started dating her husband Rob. While exploring his childhood bedroom about a decade ago she found two carved wooden beavers sporting beaming smiles tucked between his high school sports trophies, according to TODAY. Claire said she was completely speechless when she realized the baby teeth of Rob and his brother, Adam, had been used to create the toothy smiles of the beavers. She said, "How could such a treasure be hidden from our relationship?"

Apparently, it was Rob's grandmother who commissioned the beavers with the baby teeth. Claire explained, "My husband’s late grandmother had them made at a craft fair. I never had the pleasure of meeting her but I know she was a really special lady." She admitted she had no idea how people would react when she posted a TikTok video detailing how Rob and Adam's baby teeth have been molded into wooden beavers for eternal preservation. However, the video quickly went viral on social media.

Claire said, "I am so new to TikTok, especially on the ‘creator’ side. I still have no idea how to use half of the features. I threw that video together more to make myself laugh." Since being uploaded earlier this week, over 9000 comments and more than seven million views have been recorded for the video of the Linkhart family beavers. TikTok users couldn't get enough of the unique family heirloom video, which Claire shared with the caption: "We’ve been married 12 years and I will never truly recover from this discovery." 

One user wrote, "I would fight for these at an estate sale," while another commented, "A new family tradition I did not know I’d be implementing immediately." Another said, "Lmfaoooo I need one of these for my kids teeth." A TikTok user joked, "the brother's set of chompers looks like steve harvey's goofy ahh pretending to be shocked." Another said, "I REALLY NEED 2 SEE THE BROTHER'S FULL SET WAY CLOSER. THIS GIVES DAHMER VIBES BUT IN A WEIRDLY WHOLESOME WAY." Claire took this request seriously and made another video of the close-up of the brother's teeth. A Tiktok user commented on that video, "I think it's hysterical and sentimental at the same time." 

Another commented, "Okay hear me out. I WILL PAY GOOD MONEY FOR SOMEONE TO MAKE ME ONE." Meanwhile, Claire shared that since her discovery, the beavers have "gone home to their rightful owners." She said, "My husband’s lives in our dining room display cabinet, and his brother’s lives in their living room bookshelf display. They make for great party conversation starters." She also explained there are certain logistics to think about before deciding whether the beaver tradition will continue with their kids, who are 8 and 5 years old. She said, "The older one has already asked how the beaver got daddy’s teeth from the tooth fairy."
