A TIKTOKER has revealed an easy decorating trick that leaves an unexpectedly classy finish.

While the video is just a few seconds long, this simple trick could change the way the internet shops at IKEA and decorates their spaces.

"Did this in a whim. I kinda like it," @beetotable on TikTok said of her decoration discovery.

The text overlay on the top of the video said: "I'm hanging an IKEA napkin holder on my wall...to display a book."

Sara's chosen book, The Grass Dancer by Susan Power, looks quite regal in the gold napkin holder hung on the wall.

In fact, the napkin holder no longer looks like a carrier for paper goods at all.

Many people were impressed with the thrifty way of displaying nice books, while others had their own ideas to take advantage of the hack.

@theanxiousdiaries wrote in response: "Okay, but this with vinyl records?

Sara affirmed the possibility with a "Yesss!"

Other users quipped about the seemingly endless possibilities of the item.

"I use my same one to hold my cook books on my counter!" JoJo Honey said.

Christinia Renee said: "Great idea for a mail holder too!"

Other design gurus have come forward recently with a luxe IKEA hack.

Digital users @ourfirstterracedhouse are on a mission to document the process of renovating their home with fun decor, DIY projects, and home inspiration.

According to their profile, their space is a three bedroom, terraced home — in much need of sprucing up.

The TikTokers put their resourcefulness to the test and found a crafty loophole around costly wardrobes.

In their viral video, they showcased how to save on this home fixture and what the empty closet space looked like before the fix.

The couple added in a stage for the Ikea wardrobes, to give them an elevated look.

In the comments, they shared they used the TYSSEDAL pieces ($155) in white/glass.

The thrifty DIY-ers then added wood boards to cover the space around the wardrobe.

They filled the holes with spackling and then painted over the wood boards with white paint.

This hack also saw favor in the comments.

One user wrote: "Did the same with these wardrobes in my house. Fitted wardrobes cost thousands and this is just as good."
